Prof. Dr. med. Steffen Glökler is a cardiology specialist focused on interventional procedures. He combines scientific precision with personal, patient-centered care. At his Zurich practice, he consults in German, English, and French. His key expertise lies in catheter-based treatment of complex and structural heart conditions.
Prof. Dr. med. Johannes Waltenberger
Prof. Dr. med. Waltenberger ist ein Pionier der molekularen Kardiologie. Dank seiner umfassenden Expertise kann er aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse fundiert bewerten und Patient*innen sinnvolle Innovationen sowie wirkungsvolle Therapieformen zugänglich machen.
PD Dr. med. Caroline Kleinecke
PD Dr. med. Caroline Kleinecke ist Fachärztin für Allgemeine Innere Medizin und Kardiologie mit Zusatzqualifikationen in Interventioneller Kardiologie sowie Intensiv- und Notfallmedizin. Sie verfügt über eine langjährige klinische Erfahrung in der Betreuung eines breiten Spektrums akuter und chronischer Herzerkrankungen. Hauptberuflich ist sie als interventionelle Kardiologin am Kantonsspital Aarau tätig, wo sie als Oberärztin in der Herzmedizin arbeitet. Ergänzend bringt sie ihre hohe fachliche und interventionelle Expertise in kleinem Pensum in unsere Praxis ein.

Dr. Christian Steffen
Dr. Christian Steffen combines 30+ years of cardiology and internal medicine experience with holistic patient care. After positions at university hospitals in Ulm and Bad Krozingen, he led cardiology at Spital Lachen. 1,000+ pacemaker implantations, 2,000+ coronary angiographies. Focus on modern diagnostics, prevention, and personal doctor-patient relationships with interdisciplinary approach.

Lachen Hospital
The cardiology department of Lachen Hospital covers a broad spectrum of cardiac medicine and has a large cardiology outpatient clinic. Under the umbrella of the cooperation between Lachen Hospital and the Hirslanden Klinik im Park in Zurich, which has been in place since January 2021, our interventional cardiologists, Prof. Dr. med. Steffen Glökler, MD, and Prof. Johannes Waltenberger, MD, also regularly treat cardiac patients on site.
