Dr. Christian Steffen

With over 30 years of experience in internal medicine and cardiology, Dr. med. Christian Steffen stands for comprehensive diagnostics, modern therapy and personal patient care. As a specialist in cardiology, internal medicine as well as physical medicine and rehabilitation, he combines medical knowledge with a holistic view of the patient.

After studying medicine in Bochum, Bonn and Zurich and completing his doctorate at the University of Zurich, Dr. Steffen gained clinical experience at renowned institutions such as the University Hospital Ulm and the University Heart Center Bad Krozingen/Freiburg, before taking over the leadership of cardiology at Spital Lachen in 2004. There he helped establish the cardiac catheterization laboratory and has implanted approximately 1,000 pacemakers to date. In total, he has performed over 2,000 coronary angiographies.
