Control and Follow-up of Cardiac Implants

Pacemakers, defibrillators, and event recorders require regular checks. We perform these professionally and optimize the settings.

Which Implants Do We Control?

  • Pacemakers: Single and dual-chamber pacemakers
  • ICD (Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator): For treatment of life-threatening arrhythmias
  • CRT (Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy): Special pacemakers for heart failure
  • Event Recorders: Long-term ECG devices for rhythm monitoring

Check-up Process

  • Reading out the device
  • Battery check
  • Electrode control
  • Optimization of settings
  • Discussion of findings

Check-up intervals: every 3-12 months depending on device type

(I) Roberta Leone is in the final year of her specialist training in cardiology, having completed her postgraduate training in internal medicine with experience in intensive care medicine and angiology.Thanks to her broad and comprehensive training at the University Hospital Zurich, she provides dedicated internal medicine and cardiology care to our patients. She speaks German, Italian, English, and Spanish.

Dr. Christian Steffen combines 30+ years of cardiology and internal medicine experience with holistic patient care. After positions at university hospitals in Ulm and Bad Krozingen, he led cardiology at Spital Lachen. 1,000+ pacemaker implantations, 2,000+ coronary angiographies. Focus on modern diagnostics, prevention, and personal doctor-patient relationships with interdisciplinary approach.
